Amazing! Bring your family. Bring your company. Come here for employee appreciation night or whatever corporate events you sponsor. I mean just amazing. We went on a Thursday so crowd was probably light and lines weren't long for anything. Beers were 1/2 off, all the people were so nice, the $13 seats were awesome (we had a better view than the ump) and what I was most impressed with was the way they treated this one little baseball team of 10 year olds. It was obviously a special event they must have arranged but this team was all dressed in uniform, got to practice in the outfield, meet the team, hangout in the dugout and escort the players, one by one, as they were called for the line-up. They announced the player, then the 10 year old running right behind him. I mean great job Crushers for making such magical things happen for local kids and baseball teams and dance teams and probably whatever kid organization you could think of. They really do a great job of making it special for these kids and affordable to take the whole family.
This is an excellent minor league park where the staff is working hard to give you a good experience. On a typical night you'll be well served and have a great time. If you go on an extraordinarily busy night concessions will be slow, but that's true at every single park in America. Anyone who doesn't realize that simply hasn't gone to many different baseball parks. Not that I'm saying you should avoid the park if it's packed; those days are a blast with a large crowd cheering around you - just don't expect to go up and stand in line for 30 seconds to get a beer.
As for the team itself, the Crushers are in the independent Frontier League, which means that the games actually mean something and that players aren't just there so that they can get their batting average up 2% and move up to another level. Unlike most affiliated minor league players, they are more likely to care about wins. It also means that if you start going to the games on a regular basis the second baseman and catcher aren't likely to disappear a month into the season and turn a good team into rubbish over night. You can actually be a fan of the team instead of simply watching to see which prospects pass through.
Lovely ball park, every seat is a good seat! My only issue was the food lines were ridiculously long. I didn't like having to pay to use the inflatables, but it was made worse by the line being so long, 20 minutes, that the kids only went through 1 time. I was told we were there on an extremely busy night, so this might not be a normal day. But overall it was a really nice place to see a good baseball game.
Go. Watch. Hug Stomper.
wow what an amazing experience. We sat right along the 3rd base line so always had to be alert for foul balls, but that was part of the thrill. The players really hustled and were great to watch. Nice for a family outing.
Very nice. Had a lot of fun however, does the food really need to be that expensive?
