This place is great. Not only do they treat you like an actual human being instead of a walking wallet, they genuinely care about your car too. The readout paper that they give you after oil changes, inspections or repairs is very informative in gauging the health of your vehicle. Their waiting area is very nice with free coffee & snacks, but the best part is that they give you freshly baked cookies after every visit.
I've been coming to Automotive Specialty Services for a few years after moving to Avon and trying out a few local places. Diane, Casey, and crew have always taken care of me and my family. I bring both of my cars to them. They offer the best advice, guidance, and options that you can find for your vehicle along with the best warranty on parts that I've seen. They also never pressure or make you feel like you're a terrible person if you don't take their recommendations immediately. I recently brought my wife's Traverse in for an oil change and mentioned a few things going on with it but wasn't sure what was going on. Come to find out the water pump was cracked and leaking coolant which wasn't ideal but they sent pictures and helped me understand my options and the situation. By the time I was done with work they had fixed everything and came and picked me up and work and had me out the door in less than 5 minutes. They provide all the conveniences of a dealership at a fraction of the cost and I've always been very satisfied with the work they've done. Although I wish our cars would run flawlessly forever, I'm glad we have Automotive Specialty to go to when they need some attention.
Thank you for keeping my car running safely. Their check-ups on my car have saved me from having to use the free towing service! I am thankful for the free loaner vehicles over these many years. I am always greeted with a smile and a cheerful hello. Nice clean waiting room with free coffee when I choose to wait. Happy to leave this 5-star review!
I am very impressed with the service here! They helped me figure out what I needed for my car and did not try to up sale me on anything I did not need. What truly impressed me was when the mechanic took me out to the car and showed me in detail everything that was going on with my car. He also took the time to write me estimates on cost. (brakes, filters, tires) Literally everything I could have needed. The receptionist was also very pleasant and was very knowledgable in what the customers would need. The waiting area was the nicest I have ever seen. I will be doing all of our car business with Automotive Specialty Services from now on!
Definitely enroll in their car care club if you have the extra $$$. The oil changes, rotations, loaner vehicles, and car rides pay for themselves without factoring in the discounts you get on repairs.
As part of the car care club, we were pleased with the ease of scheduling an oil change and paying a reasonable price for the services. The staff at large are extremely kind and accommodating. Also, I appreciated the results that were sent to me via text once my vehicle was checked over (then a staff member called me as I had questions about those results). Again-the employees are professional and efficient. However, I was disappointed with the recommendations given regarding two repairs that were needed for my vehicle. As my vehicle was only purchased a few months ago (in wonderful used condition), the issues communicated to me seemed impossible. I ended up taking my vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased and they checked it over. Only one of the issues that Automotive Specialty Services found was accurately diagnosed. The other issue was nonexistent (my husband looked with the mechanic at the dealership to see for himself). I am disappointed because if I wouldn't have investigated further (with a second opinion), I would have spent almost $400 on a problem that did not exist. I suggest getting a second opinion if major repairs are suggested.
